Today’s youth face many career challenges, but also many opportunities. Our mission is to provide youth with the information, opportunities and connections they need to be successful in tomorrow's workforce.

Who We Are

CEC is a registered charity that serves Guelph, Wellington and Dufferin. We connect and partner with business and education to help students explore careers, gain meaningful workplace experiences and discover a vibrant connection to the workforce and the future.

Our History

The CEC was established as a registered charitable organization in 1990 by the Rotary Club of Guelph with the goal of helping young people to learn about careers and to experience the workplace, allowing them to make more informed choices about further education and career options.

Over twenty five years later, the Career Education Council has continued to evolve to adapt to changing needs of our youth, our community and our local employment landscape. We serve as a bridge between local business and industry and the young workers of the future. The CEC provides classroom and community workshops and career events that provide youth with meaningful opportunities for experiential learning, career exploration and skill development.
