Our History

The Career Education Council was established in 1990 by the Rotary Club of Guelph with the objective of helping young people learn about and experience the workplace, thereby allowing them to make more informed choices about their future education, training, and employment pathway.

Thirty years later, the Career Education Council has continued to evolve and adapt to the changing needs of our youth, our community, and our local employment landscape. We serve as a bridge between local business, industry, and the workforce. The CEC provides workshops and career events that provide youth with meaningful opportunities for experiential learning, career exploration, and skill development.
